So NYR needs a good two-way center.
What would Blues ask in return from NYR for:

O'Rielly

OR

Schenn

Look at the step up Faulk made this season. Parayko was playing injured. I’d expect Krug to make the same upwards movement next season. Parayko??? You can’t touch. (When he is healthy).

Moving away from O’Reily, Perron, and Schenn make absolutely no sense to me. That is our core. Tarasenko would be there as well if he was not injured the last two seasons. He will refund his game. He is still a lethal weapon, as to his play effectively in both zones remains a mystery though.

Don’t forget we lost Sunny who is a BIG part of this team

From the Stanley Cup winning team Blues have lost or traded

Petro
Bouw
Steen
Gunnar
Eddy
Allen

Notice 4 defenseman are gone. Wouldn’t that hurt any team?

Bring in Husso who is seeing his first real time as a backup in the NHL. There will always be growing pains.

Walk away from Schwartz. He is a good solid player that some team will offer more than he is worth. Great story. We drafted him. Okay business is business. It’s about production.

Let Thomas and Kyrou get more ice time.

Kyrou had his ups and downs. Lets see what he does next season.

Thomas was terrible to start the. Started scoring and was quickly injured.

Is Vince Dunn even still on this team? A healthy scratch quite a bit.

Bortz is great. Quit taking penalties and avoid suspensions and we have our tough as nails defender.

Sanford needs to go. I’m done with this kid. You won a (frank)ing Cup and you still can’t play hard every game to earn your spot. He is not top 6 with the current team. Is he top 6 on ANY team?

I would have no problem packaging Thomas with Dunn, Sanford, or Kostin to have someone take KRUG OFF OUR HANDS!! He along with Faulk ARE NOT WESTERN CONFERENCE DEFENSEMEN!!! Remember, next season you are going to be with the Blackhawks, Predators, Stars, Jets, Av's, Wild, and Coyotes in your division, this is the old BLACK AND BLUE division not a division for MUNCHKINS LIKE KRUG AND PERUNOVICH. I think this team needs to walk away from Schwartz and try to flip Tarasenko if possible. I do think if they can dispose of one or more contract, they will be a player for Gabriel Landeskog who the Av's will not be able to re-sign.

Are you CRAZY? Thomas and Kostin? The others I don’t care for as well. Landeskog is not leaving Colorado. He will be resigned

I agree with 99% of this but if we can resign Schwartz for a decent # i say we keep him he reminds me a lot of what Steen would do and the Blues cant afford to lose a player that is good at the 200 foot game. We already lost Maroon and didnt replace him i think we still need to find our Maroon replacement and we will be fine on the forward side. I 100% agree with Sanford he can go he is way more inconsistent and getting top 6 minutes. I would like to see us pick up a good dman Mikkola looked awful in the playoffs! I either wanna see us get a better backup or Husso needs to take the next step.

Honest question, have you ever watched a Blues game, let alone a hockey game? We need to figure out whether to resign Robert Thomas and figure out if he's a part of our future?!?!?! What? The 21 year old with a MASSIVE ceiling? Huh? Who,yes, had some growing pains this year, but dealt with injuries all year, significantly contributing to the inconsist year. And Robert bortuzzo would bring back "significant" pieces, huh? And the Avalanche are going to lose significant depth pieces in next year or two, with Cale Makar, Landeskog, MacKinnon, and Grubauer all needing new contracts all this year or in couple of years in MacKinnons case, and massive raises each. Brandon Saad, a huge contributor to their team in playoffs will walk this offseason, with possibility of Landeskog as well. And they will lose Graves most likely in expansion draft. Vegas has some cap space issues as well, Mark andre fleury isn't getting younger, and they will lose Alec Martinez this offseason most likely as well. Both will lose key depth guys in flat cap, as well not be in position to add anyone of significance without shedding a lot of cap. And name me a time in the league where there aren't other good teams that you'll have to beat and play against???

Finally a reasonable stance from someone here. I'm so sick of all these bandwagon fans and people who know absolutely nothing about hockey and just started watching after we won cup. People seem to forget we were at bottom of standings pretty late in our cup year, and there were numerous articles saying to blow it up then as well. This is basically same core that won cup, minus Petro, but we added faulk and krug, along with kyrou as well. Let's see a healthy vladdy, thomas, sundqvist, and parayko next year, a full season with no covid, krug getting more comfortable, Thomas healthy and continuing to develop, he's only freaking 21, another year from kyrou getting better and more ice time. This team has more than enough pieces to be legit contenders, just need some luck with injuries and consistency in lineup and who's in it. Can't wait til we go on run next year and I can call out all of these people whining and talking about rebuilding. Before the bubble last year, we had best record in west, covid really messed everything up, and then injuries this year.
